About the PMHNP Preceptorship Program
The Satirry PMHNP Preceptorship Program is designed to provide a high-quality, supportive clinical experience for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner students. Clinical practicums are a vital component of PMHNP education, bridging academic coursework with real-world application and preparing students for confident, ethical, and effective practice in the field of mental health care.
Our program offers an intentional learning environment where students can deepen their clinical knowledge while developing a holistic, patient-centered approach to psychiatric care.
Mentorship, Clinical Growth, and Culturally Responsive Psychiatric Care
During the preceptorship, students work closely with Kristina Vassell, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, receiving individualized mentorship and clinical guidance throughout their practicum experience. This close collaboration supports the development of strong assessment skills, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning abilities essential for providing high-quality psychiatric care.
Students are encouraged to ask questions, reflect on clinical encounters, and grow professionally within a supportive and culturally responsive learning environment.

The Satirry PMHNP Preceptorship Program is conducted entirely on-site. Students will participate in in-person clinical sessions, case discussions, and supervised learning experiences designed to reflect the realities of modern psychiatric practice.

Program Rates
The total cost of the program is based on the number of clinical hours requested. A non-refundable deposit is required upon clinical site approval to secure your placement in the program. The remaining balance is due on the first day of clinical training.
